REFEREE PLAN
I.
Required Match Certifications
Each
team will need to supply referees having certifications appropriate for the
division in which their team will compete.
II.
Uniform
1) Jerseys
·
Gold referee
jersey with black stripes and trim, or
·
Black referee
jersey with white stripes and trim, or
·
Red referee
jersey with black stripes and trim, or
·
Blue referee
jersey with black stripes and trim.
2)
Shorts
·
Solid Black
3)
Socks
·
Black with three
white stripes at top
·
Pulled up over
the calf
4)
Badge
·
Current AYSO
badge
·
Only one badge on
uniform
5)
Footwear
·
Black, or black
with white trim
·
Smooth, turf, or
cleated soccer shoes
·
Shoes should be
cleaned and polished
6)
Headwear
·
Solid black, or
predominantly black caps are acceptable
·
Caps should bear
no logos or slogans, except for AYSO logo
III.
General
Information
·
Each referee team
will be made up of 3 referees.
·
The referee team
members must be submitted in writing to the tournament Referee Coordinator.
·
Any referee
changes must be submitted in writing to the tournament Referee Coordinator no
later than 7 days prior to the tournament.
·
Each referee team
will be assigned 3 games in the tournament, and one game on standby.
·
Referees assigned
to STANDBY games will still receive credit for officiating the match as long as
they have checked in at the referee tent prior to the match and are available
to referee if requested.
·
Referees will
receive tournaments pins, coins, and t-shirts at check-in, prior to their first
match.
·
Referees will be
provided water at each field.
·
Out of town
referees will be assigned matches on the first day of the tournament whenever
possible, however, some matches may be assigned on Sunday morning on an as
needed basis.
·
Area V referees
will be assigned to the final matches wherever possible. This will allow many of the out of town
referees to complete their scheduled referee assignments on Sunday morning. If
you wish to referee any of the finals ( this would be in addition to your
scheduled 3 games) , please contact the Referee Administrator at least 1 week
before the tournament.
IV.
Referee Deposit
Credit
·
Teams will
receive a $50.00 refund for each match (up to 3), in which all 3 of their
designated referees officiate.
·
If any games are
canceled by the tournament committee due to inclimate weather or otherwise, the
assigned referee teams will receive credit for these games.
·
The tournament
will return the credited referee refund amount to each team within14 days of
the tournament.
